This notification below was sent to all CCSD Administrators on 10.15.13:
• CCSD schools and offices will participate in the Great Nevada ShakeOut this Thursday, Oct. 17, at 10:17 a.m. This event will provide schools with an excellent opportunity to practice earthquake survival and safety techniques for staff and students. This is an important activity since the Las Vegas valley does have several active fault lines running through it.
• Local media will be invited to observe the activity involving first responder students at Veterans Tribute Career and Technical Academy. However, we know that some media outlets may contact schools on their own with a request to visit a location other than VTCTA. The decision to permit access is up to each individual school, but if you are contacted by media with such a request, please notify the Communications Office at 799-5304. The Communications Office can provide tips and assistance regarding topics like students without media release forms, areas of access, etc.
09:45: Great NV Shakeout
