On Friday, Feb. 1, 2013 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Saint Louis University’s Parks College of Engineering, Aviation and Technology and the Heartland Center for Public Health Preparedness are proud to host Earthquakes: Mean Business (EMB), a public outreach offering of the regional geo-science, engineering and emergency management community.
The program is an effort to raise awareness of earthquake hazards and earthquake risk in the central United States and explain how we can better prepare for future events. It will consist of morning presentations, a luncheon seminar and afternoon break-out sessions.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit with exhibitors who will provide information and resources to assist businesses in disaster preparation and business continuity planning.
