Full Description:
California is no stranger to earthquakes. This year, The Home Depot is working with FEMA, ShakeOut and Ready America to educate consumers about earthquake preparedness for their home or business in select stores across California. The events will include a full instructional Earthquake Preparedness and Fire Safety Workshop for adults, as well as a Fire Safety Kids Workshop.
Not only will attendees learn useful tactics such as building a disaster preparedness kit and family emergency plan, but also they will receive hands-on instruction on bracing a water heater and other DIY preparation projects for the home. The Workshops will cover basic preparedness activities, and offer activities that teach attendees how to start taking action in their homes and offices immediately.
The Fire Safety Kids Workshops will take place at all The Home Depot stores nationwide.
