Stories From The California ShakeOut

Cindy Acker
(Owner/Director - The Child Unique Montessori School)

The Shake Out went well for our School. The children did a wonderful job at making sure they dropped to the ground, got under a table and held on. The children who were unable to go under a table were in the corner of the classroom away from the windows and covered up. When the all clear was given, the teachers evacuated the children out of the classroom and went to the safe area for further instructions. The teachers brought their class rosters outside when they evacuated and did a head count. The young children in the toddler class did pretty good with being young. All children evacuated as they were without stopping to put on their shoes. After the Shake Out the children received a Shake Out sticker that we had made for them.
