Stories From The California ShakeOut

We are roughly 400 employees in a five story building. Among other functions, we provide permits and public information and many customers visit in person.
We put posters up on the building's exterior doors to announce the drill, sent emails with drill informaton and related links out to employees, and notified customers as they entered the building that we would be conducting a brief exercise.
The audio file was broadcast throughout the building, and we followed it with a building-wide evacuation. At the assembly area, departments checked their lists to ensure all staff were present or accounted for, and we returned to work. A successful exercise.
