The Tech Museum of Innovation will host a Shake Out Drill with 800+ students & museum guests as they practice Drop, Cover, & Hold On during the Shake Out on 10/18 at 10:18a.m.
We'll have a stage area and and tables in New Venture Hall for the live DRILL broadcast.
Glen & Trish Granholm from Safe-T-Proof will be on hand to show everyone how to secure their space and provide demos in the Quake Cottage.
Naomi Pease from the Silicon Valley Red Cross will be attending and talking about the new Red Cross Earthquake phone app with the students & guests. She will be hosting a Red Cross info table and interacting with school groups.
The Tech will provide exciting hands-on preparedness activates in the Atrium and our guests can enjoy learning more about earthquake country in our Earthquake Exhibit including a ride on earthquake simulator.
After the Shake Out Drill we be passing out participant stickers to everyone including a copy the USGS booklet 'Putting Down Roots in Earthquake Country'.
